Introduction to Malaysian food. This class explores some of my Malaysian signatures and popular street food.
We begin the class by learning the ingredients used in Malaysian cooking. Learn how to master Beef Rendang by blending spice paste together and watch it transform to the most decadent warming dish or how to fry the most pillowy Cucur Udang - Malaysian prawn fritters or perhaps wok fry some Char Kway Teow? Come to this class and I will arm you with a full tummy and a new repertoire under your belt to impress your friends and family. Please note each class is different depending what is in season or what is best from our local butcher. Do enquire before you book if you have any dietary requirements as the class might not be suitable.
Want to become a dumpling legend, jedi, master or mistress? During lockdown, I was running virtual classes and this was such a hit. In this class, we are going to learn to make dumpling skins from scratch and we delve deeper into flavoured and coloured skins as well as making the fillings. Then we are going to learn the different ways of folding them as well as cooking them. Finally we are going to scoff all of them. Dumplings for life! Not suitable for gluten intolerance.
