PING AT HOME is a meal service created by Ping Coombes, MasterChef Winner. Every week there is a limited menu inspired by her home country Malaysia. Menu changes weekly and dishes are freshly cooked using locally sourced ingredients where possible. The meals come chilled complete with rice ready to heat at your convenience or freeze for future enjoyment. 

Menu for Friday 21st May

Malaysian Mutton & Potato Curry, Pickled Onions, Coriander + Jasmine Rice - £12

A dish I remember fondly sitting on the streets of Malaysia with friends at about 2am eating with my hands, trying to scoop mutton, rice and roti in one go!! Slow cooked in caramelized onions, ground spices, coconut milk and flavoured with star anise, cardamom and cinnamon. Pickled onions to cut through the richness of the curry.

NEW - Slow Cooked Jackfruit & Roasted Sweet Potato Rendang + Jasmine Rice - £10
Rendang is a celebratory dish due to its complexity in preparation. Jackfruit grows in South East Asia and their fragrance often fills the night markets in Malaysia. Here we use the flesh of young jackfruit and roasted sweet potato and cook them in rich spice paste made with lemongrass and enriched with creamy coconut milk.

Brown Butter Roti Canai - Flaky Malaysian bread £2.50 each
Flaky & buttery roti, perfect for mopping up the curries! Highly recommend to get one each, at least! Crisp up perfectly in the oven!

Caramelised Onion ‘foo yung’ £5 per portion
A thin omelette made with New MacDonalds farm organic eggs flavoured with caramelised onions and fish sauce. So good to eat with curries and always a staple in Mamak stalls in Malaysia. I always have some to accompany my curries.

HOW IT WORKS

The food comes READY TO HEAT for which we will provide instructions. They are also suitable to freeze so perfect if you want to purchase extra to keep in your freezer.

HOW TO ORDER

Please email athome@pingcoombes.com. Please let us know what curries you would like and the portions required along with your name and address. We will send you a payment link to prepay your order. Cut off date for ordering is Tuesday at  6pm as we will only buy and prepare the ingredients for prepaid food to avoid waste. If you have any allergies, please tell us before ordering.
