Menu for Friday 26th February
Malaysian Mutton & Potato Curry, Pickled Onions, Coriander, Jasmine Rice - £12
A dish I remember fondly; sitting on the streets of Malaysia with friends at about 2am eating with my hands, trying to scoop mutton, rice and roti in one go!! Slow cooked in caramelised onions, ground spices, coconut milk and flavoured with star anise, cardamom and cinnamon. Pickled onions added on top to cut through the richness of the curry.
Medium spicy, GF and DF, contains soybean
*NEW* Roasted Curried Celeriac, Chickpeas & Spring Greens ‘Masak Lemak’, Jasmine Rice - £10
Nourishing, seasonal and comforting. Roasting the celeriac first brings out their sweetness. The sauce is made with red curry paste that is flavoured with lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves and shrimp paste along with coconut milk. Seasoned with fish sauce
Medium spicy, GF, DF, contains celery, soybean,
shellfish, fish and peanuts
These sides are chosen specifically to compliment the curries!
Green bean ‘foo yung’ £5 per portion
An omelette made with New MacDonald’s farm organic eggs flavoured with contrasting green beans and fish sauce. So good to eat with curries. Probably my favourite foo yung! I always have some to accompany my curries.
GF, contains fish
Cold Spicy Peanut Noodles £5 per portion
Spicy peanuty noodles makes a great starter or accompaniment. Warning: Highly addictive.
Contains soybean, peanuts, sesame, wheat & shrimp paste
