Ping's Masak Club

Malaysian Cookery School

Masak - masak (literally means cook cook),is a little game I played with my friends pretending to cook when I was a little girl. Little did I know that I would do it for real when I grew up. Apart from cooking for others, I love to teach. Over the last few years I have been teaching a variety of Malaysian dishes. We started the school at my home kitchen but as we grew more popular every year, we now run our Malaysian classes at our Ping HQ near where we live in Wiltshire and we are also starting one in the renowned Divertimenti Cookery School in London near the iconic Harrods. If you fancy having a one to one with your nearest and dearest with Ping, her beautiful home kitchen is now available for private classes for up to 6 people.

Malaysian Masterclass

Introduction to Malaysian food. This class explores some of my Malaysian signatures and popular street food.

We begin the class by learning the ingredients used in Malaysian cooking. Learn how to master Beef Rendang by blending spice paste together and watch it transform to the most decadent warming dish or how to fry the most pillowy Cucur Udang - Malaysian prawn fritters or perhaps wok fry some Char Kway Teow? Come to this class and I will arm you with a full tummy and a new repertoire under your belt to impress your friends and family. Please note each class is different depending what is in season or what is best from our local butcher. Do enquire before you book if you have any dietary requirements as the class might not be suitable.

Dumplings & Noodles of Malaysia
